Upgrade your business

“Upgrade Your Business

How many businesses have you ventured into? 1, 2, or countless? Let’s take a cue from Dangote, Nigeria’s business mogul. Before diversifying his portfolio, Dangote solidified his farm business, producing food, and later his cement business.

Sir Aliko Dangote upgraded his farming and cement businesses year after year. One major upgrade was his company website, offering services like food production. He was patient, persisting through challenges without abandoning his farming or cement businesses. Instead, he focused on upgrading both until they reached a stage of stability before venturing into new businesses.

Even as Dangote expanded into new ventures, he didn’t neglect his first businesses. He continued to upgrade them, ensuring their growth and success.

Learn from Dangote’s example. Study his strategies and add your unique touch. Upgrade your business by starting with:

  1. A business of necessity (e.g., farming)
  2. A business of passion (e.g., cement)

Having both types of businesses will fulfill your inner soul. Your necessity business will fuel your passion business when seasons change.

For me, I have:

  1. A business of necessity (farming food distribution)
  2. A business of passion (Graphic design, Website design, all summed up to Social media management)

Remember, patience and persistence are key. Focus on upgrading your businesses, and wealth will follow.”
